Gumbank Homestead

A private heritage homestead in the Adelaide Hills

STAYS · OCCASIONS · POLO

There are very few places in South Australia where you can sleep within walls built in 1843, Gumbank is one of them.  Its cob walls were raised by hand by William Dunn, a settler from Devonshire and have stood through the forge, the flocks and nearly two centuries of Adelaide Hills winters.

Today, the homestead, its Pinot vines and original shearing shed welcome guests — for stays, occasions and gatherings. A small piece of South Australian history, still being lived in.
